How to Create Assets in Mind That
Thanks to the Assets feature on the Mind That Facility platform, managing and tracking your facilities' assets has never been more efficient and intuitive. With its robust asset management capabilities, you can easily oversee your assets' entire lifecycle from procurement to disposal. This essential feature ensures you can efficiently track and manage your assets, saving time and effort.
This tutorial will teach you how to create Assets in Mind That.
Creating A New Asset Record
To create a New Asset, click the Add (+) icon beside the search and notification icons on the main navigation bar. A drop-down menu will appear, allowing you to create new jobs, sites, work orders, etc.
Click on Assets, and a new public form will appear.
When you toggle on (a) the “Has Multiple Units” button, a new field will appear, which will allow you to (b) indicate the “Number of Asset Units to Create.”
The following field (c) allows you to type in the Purchase Date. If you can’t remember the actual date, you can indicate an estimated date.
The Site field (d) allows you to assign a Site where you can use the Assets.
You can also assign it to a user or a Contact. In the field, type (e) the Contact's name.
An asset or equipment usually has a warranty given by the manufacturer. You can (f) type in the number of months or years in the “Warranty Valid Until” field.
You can (g) assign an image for your assets on the “Primary Image” field. It can be an image or PDF file.
The “Category” field allows you to (h) assign the category for your asset. Please note that you can edit this field in the Assets settings and set any category that applies to your workspace.
You can assign (i) a Reference name for the asset units. (Note: The “mother” asset will have an automatically generated reference number)
You can assign (j) an Asset Name to your assets (e.g. furniture, aircon, trucks, etc.)
Lastly, you can set a (k) serial number and (l) a model number for each asset.
