How to Report a Bug
Bugs are a reality in software and website development, and Mind That is no exception. Despite rigorous testing and quality assurance measures, completely eradicating bugs during the development process and the final product is challenging.
To promptly address any bugs or issues, we use the Bird Eats Bug integration to record or take screenshots of the problems in real-time. This app makes it easier for developers to identify issues and automatically create tickets to resolve them immediately. This guide will teach you how to report bugs in Mind That.
Taking Screen Recordings or Images
The Bird Eats Bug integration is a reliable tool for faster catching, recording, and fixing bugs. This integration lets you share screen recordings or images with the development team.
Suppose you have encountered an issue or bug on the Mind That software. To find the Report a Bug feature, click (a) on the drop-down arrow beside the profile on the main navigation tab. A list (b) should appear.
When you click the Report a Bug option, (c) a new window will appear with two options: Take a screen recording and take a screenshot.
Taking Screenshots
When you click the Take a Screenshot option, a new window will appear asking permission to show the tab to the developers. You can click "Allow" to proceed to the next step or "Cancel" to discontinue.
Once you proceed, another window will appear with the screenshot and text fields. You can type in the Screenshot Title (optional) and type in a short description of the issue or problem (optional). Type in the email of the user so the developers will know who sent in the issue and then click "Submit"
The file should be uploaded and a ticket will automatically be sent. You can copy a link of the screenshot for your personal reference.
Screen Recording
To make a screen recording, click the Screen Recording option. The recording will start immediately, and you will see the timer on the upper right portion of your screen. Once you’re done recording, click the Red stop button.
Similar to the screenshot option, a window with the recording and text fields will appear. You can type in the Screen Recording Title (optional) and type in a short description of the issue or problem (optional). Type in the email of the user so the developers will know who sent in the issue, and then click "Submit"
The file should be uploaded, and a ticket will automatically be sent. You can copy a link to the screen recording for your personal reference.
